PCB Chairman Honors National Bank Stadium Workers for Record-Breaking Renovation

 

The Pakistan Cricket Board leader Mohsin Naqvi organized a special lunch event at Karachi for over 700 construction workers who successfully finished the National Bank Stadium renovation in just 120 days.

Recognition for Hard Work

 

Naqvi dedicated his time at the gathering to meet all workers personally while appreciating their commitment to their work. Naqvi offered appreciation to the workers for their relentless work which made Gadaffi Stadium ready to become a premier global cricket stadium for the upcoming ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025.Naqvi formally extended an invitation for workers to witness the initial match between Pakistan and South Africa at the newly renovated stadium.

“It is your right to watch the match. You have won hearts with your hard work. Thank you all,” said Naqvi.
“We succeeded because of the tireless work of these workers. Every worker is a hero who turned our dream into reality.”

Players & Officials Acknowledge Workers’ Dedication

 

Pakistan’s white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan joined Naqvi at the event to express his appreciation for the workers’ determination in his words.The workers demonstrated that Pakistani society consists of hardworking people. Rizwan expressed to the workers his commitment to deliver outstanding results while promising to work diligently throughout Karachi.

The event gathered both senior PCB officials and PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer together with Advisor Amir Mir and PCB Chief Operating Officer Sameer Ahmed.

Upcoming Matches at National Bank Stadium

 

The renovated stadium will serve as a venue for hosting four significant cricket events including two matches from the Tri-Nation ODI Series followed by the Opening match and two more matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
