The Pakistan opening batting specialist Saim Ayub has shown positive recovery from his right ankle fracture by continuing his rehabilitation at an English facility.The medical evaluation along with X-rays and MRI tests result in a doctor telling Saim he will need to rest for 10 weeks starting from January 3rd. Success in all mandatory assessments and fitness tests will determine if Saim Ayub can join Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand.The tour of New Zealand by Pakistan features five T20I matches and three ODIs that will take place from 16 March until 5 April. The tour will be succeeded by the HBL Pakistan Super League PSL scheduled to start on 8 April.

Ayub’s medical clearance procedure along with passing all fitness evaluations will determine his availability before Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand starts in March.The New Zealand tour will immediately be followed by the upcoming Pakistan Super League where teenage player Saim Ayub received extensive public criticism for his batting performance in 2021.Five T20 internationals and three ODI matches make up the New Zealand tour between March 16th and April 5th.
